FAQ

  • Where does the ELBJAZZ take place?

ELBJAZZ's open-air and indoor stages are located at the Blohm+Voss shipyard, the Elbphilharmonie (the Grand Hall), at the Hauptkirche St. Katharinen, and on the Platz der Deutschen Einheit (HfMT Young Talents).

  • What’s the best way to get to the festival?

We recommend using public transport. Your festival ticket entitles you to travel to and from the festival on the day/days your ticket is valid using the HVV public transport network (ticket includes one round trip, including express bus, valid until the end of HVV operating hours on the day/days of your ELBJAZZ ticket's validity).

For people arriving by bike, bike racks are available in front of the festival area at Blohm+Voss.

    Shuttle service:

The route between the Blohm+Voss shipyard and the second festival centre around the Elbphilharmonie can be covered on foot through Alter Elbtunnel.

A bus shuttle will also run in both directions between all ELBJAZZ venues.

All stops are marked with a bus stop symbol:

Landungsbrücken (bus stop north side of old Elbtunnel) ↔ Baumwall (HVV bus stop: Baumwall) ↔ Elbphilharmonie/HfMT Young Talents (HVV bus stop: Am Kaiserkai (Elbphilharmonie)) ↔ Hauptkirche St. Katharinen (HVV bus stop: Magellan-Terrassen) ↔ Elbbrücken (HVV bus stop: Elbbrücken) ↔ Blohm+Voss (HVV bus stop: Steinwerder).

A shuttle service by launch (with limited capacity) runs from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. between the Sandtorhöft and Steinwerder (ferry) piers.

  • Where can I park my car?

ELBJAZZ does not have its own parking facilities. We recommend using public transport. If you are traveling to the festival by car, we recommend that you research public parking facilities in the vicinity of the venues ahead of time.
