Reservations open for Concerts in the Elbphilharmonie

Music that will have you relaxing deeply in your Elphilharmonie chair: Hindi Zahra writes incredibly beautiful songs that blend Latin American and Caribbean rhythms, Arabic and North African elements, and French chansons with jazz, blues, soul and pop. It’s actually hard to imagine a festival line-up without the London saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings. With his vibrant and innovative band project, he is one of the leading voices in European jazz. With his 8-strong South-African band Shabaka and the Ancestors he sets off on a journey of exploration through Afro-American music. When The Notwist bandmembers meet the Japanese duo Tenniscoats, it’s called a “spirit fest”. A unique mixture of Japanese music and the sound of The Notwist is guaranteed.
Also from London: the young singer Zara McFarlane and her ensemble, who follow in the footsteps of jazz singers such as Billie Holiday. And we’re also getting all Scandinavian: with the Norwegian trumpeter Mathias Eick, who has plenty of support in the form of the Norwegian Wind Ensemble. If you’re going to come to the Elbphilharmonie, then why not bring an orchestra with you! To round off the musical palette, we also present a homage to the virtuosic German violinist Helmut Zacharias, who would have celebrated his 100th birthday next year.
